Zebra Nails and GCOCL nail polish review

This is frustrating~

Okay, so I tried out each of the GCOCL nail polish bottles. I thought I would give it a try, since it was only about $10 for the set of 6 nail polish and 1 clear top coat...

...they didn't work.

If you can manage to get a design to transfer from the stamp (dries too quickly), the paint won't show up on other paints well enough.

Even if you keep it as a base, the paint quality is terrible! It leaves nasty brush streaks and looks like marker.

I think the only thing you could try to use it for is mixing :/

On the other hand, I've tried out the zebra print design from template m54.

Comes from this set of templates: 12 x Nail Art Stamp Nail Art metal Template w/ Stamper

It works pretty well~ My only complaint is that the design itself is a little small. You have to double or even triple stamp one nail to get a completed look.

I'm hoping to get some french tip tape to help instead of crappy free-hand painting. xD

Another project tonight~

So your polishes won't stamp?

Okay, so usually it's the cheapest nail polish that stamps really well. They're usually nice and thick and bright. But what do you do if you've already invested in a large amount of good quality non-stamper polish?

Solution number one: Use a white base. As I mentioned in a former post, white nails are trending right now (Lady Gaga-influenced? Hell, yes!).

As you can see below, professional polish can show up pretty well on a white base (mind you, I've been using a crappy webcam to take low-quality photos).

The polishes for the stamps are by SINFULCOLORS Professional.

Solution #2:
PURE ICE nail polish. You can get it at Walmart for like...$1.5o or so a bottle.

Solution #3:
If you'd like a link to a very cheap set of proper nail stamping polish:

Stamp Nail Polish for Nail Art Printing Color Machine

Solution #4: I don't really recommend this, but sometimes you can take the high quality nail polish and mix it with the white to get a pastel-ish color for stamping. Honestly, I'd recommend just buying some cheap polish for stamping so you don't waste the high quality stuff.

Template M73

Okay, so the most popular nail style these days revolve around a white base.

I decided to use a spunky template from the M73 plate. The template comes with these other designs:

New Nail Art Design Stamp Template-m73

I'm still getting used to stamping, but I think it's coming along~

So I tried the wild animal print idea from Cosmo. They said to paint your nails white, splotch on random colors and outline them in black...but....I think I need a nail art pen for that.

Maybe this one?

Anywho, I removed it all and tried the Hello Kitty stamp atop PURE ICE's black nailpolish.

It's kind of thick. Probably better as a stamp polish.

It's here~!

Okay, so Blogger was down yesterday, so I could update.

I had to do a French Manicure freehand, since I don't have any strips for it yet, but as you can see, there's a cute flower on there. No airbrushing or anything!

Remember the Hello Kitty project from last time? This stamp is from the same template. Click on the link below to purchase it.

New Nail Art Lovely Hello Kitty Stamp Template DIY Kit

You paint over the template, swipe it with the swiper (no Dora the Explorer jokes here), and then press on it with the stamper. Take the stamper, press down on your nail, and voila! Beautifully instant dried nail design!

It started with a freebie...

Okay, so I'm a nut for freebies AND Hello Kitty. I saw that the BornPrettyStore had a free hello kitty stamping template.

I had no idea how it worked and I had always hating doing my nails because I never had the patience to sit through having them dry.

Stamping has changed my life.

So instead of waiting forever for your nails to dry, you can have an awesome manicure that dries pretty much instantly.

I'll show you in my next project, but for now, enjoy the HK love.

Salutations~

Hello~

I decided to start a new blog about nail art and beauty.

I've always been the type of girl that didn't have the patience to wait for my nails to dry, so I never wanted to get them done. They tend to chip early on, and I couldn't afford to do my nails each week, but then I found something totally awesome that dries pretty much the moment you do it(which I'll explain about in a post soon).

So, instead of doing a blog about just beauty and makeup, I thought I'd focus more on nail art and body maintenance as well.

Stay tuned~ I'll post the prettest lowest nail maintenance project soon~
